I've been running my own business across 3 continents for over 6 years now. It's been a ride, but it's not been the right vehicle for me to scale in line with my ambitions. Which are far too grand for my own good...
Though I've learned so much about both health and business, I have begun to feel under-utilised mentally, and so I am about to move interstate in Australia to take on a new job with a large infrastructure consulting firm. I'm looking forward to the mental relief that will come with having a team to work with/for, and collaborate on large-scale endeavours, ones that use my previously-established skillset to its fullest potential. I'm both excited, and a little nervous.
I also have a few side projects I'm working on, but I'm not sure how much I can say about them just yet. One of them is going to be my magnus opus in fitness, the crown jewel of my recent career stage. It's a fitness app that will change the way people think about fitness, and the way people think about themselves.
I've teamed up with a guy called Maverick (Top Gun reference for the uninitiated - aka Ethan Catzel) who is my co-founder. He's a genius, and I'm excited to see what we can build together as AIPT.
I'm also a bit of a nerd, and am making up lost ground by self-teaching software engineering. If only I'd done it as a kid when I loved my video games. I love to read. I'm currently reading The Infinite Game by Simon Sinek and Good to Great by Jim Collins. I revisit Meditations by Marcus Aurelius regularly, but that doesn't count when its closing on the 100th revisit and your copy is so dog-eared and scrawled with notes...
See my reading list here, and highlights from my reading also.Elsewhere, you'll find me in the gym, on the jiu-jitsu mat, cycling, on the beach, jumping out of planes or in the kitchen cooking up a storm.
